Job summary

Core & Main is hiring a Pump Technician to ensure proper installation and operation of pump systems across facilities. The role involves reviewing specs, commissioning tests, troubleshooting, and documenting results for customers.

You will work with contractors and engineers, travel within all 50 states, and uphold safety and fire protection standards while delivering excellent customer service. A related engineering degree and 2+ years experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Pump Technician or similar role.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift equipment not exceeding 50 LBS.
• Willingness to travel within all 50 States.

Responsibilities

• Review project specs and drawings for code compliance.
• Collaborate with contractors and engineers to install pump systems correctly.
• Perform pre-functional testing and commissioning.
• Troubleshoot and resolve pump system issues.
• Conduct flow tests and report results to the customer.
• Document work and maintain records with photos.
• Provide excellent customer service and communication.
• Stay updated with fire protection technologies and standards.
