Job summary

Sligo Systems, a Weaver Companies entity, is seeking a Pump Technician in DeLand, FL. This hands-on role covers assembly, repair, and servicing of pumps and related systems, with occasional travel to customer sites in the U.S.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (vocational/technical training is a plus).
• Minimum 2 years of mechanical or electrical assembly/repair experience preferred.
• Willingness to train apprentices and strong mechanical aptitude.
• HVAC apprentice or pool equipment experience welcomed.
• Forklift experience is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Perform assembly, repair, and rebuilding of pumps using hand tools.
• Disassemble, reassemble, service, and repair pumps.
• Repair, replace, and upgrade electrical connections and wiring.
• Cut, drill, and tap materials; fabricate pump accessories.
• Operate a forklift safely.
• Travel to customer facilities for installation and troubleshooting.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and shop maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Assist with inventory management.
• Follow and promote safety procedures.
