Motiva's Port Arthur facility seeks a Pump/Rotating Equipment Mechanic to perform preventive and predictive maintenance on pumps, fans, and related mechanical equipment, including alignment, repair, and documentation in SAP.

This DOT-regulated role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3+ years in industrial machinist/mechanic work or an associate degree with journey-level certification, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• Education/experience required: high school diploma or equivalent; 3+ years in industrial machinist, mechanic, or millwright role OR an Associate's degree with journey-level certification
• Demonstrated proficiency with alignment tools and mechanical drawings
• Valid driver's license; TWIC card eligibility at time of hire

Responsibilities

• Perform complete overhauls on process pumps and document repair history in SAP
• Install, align, and maintain pumps, air-intake blowers, and related gear boxes
• Read and interpret mechanical drawings and use micrometer/laser tools for alignment
• Perform pump repair including mechanical seal replacement and turbine maintenance
• Work safely with cranes, forklifts, and lifting equipment; adhere to permitting procedures
