With a full range of diesel and electric pumps available to purchase or rent, Godwin pumps are used for dewatering and liquids transfer in mining, constructions, municipal and industrial projects around the world.

THE ROLE:

Godwin, a Xylem brand, seeks to hire a Level III Pump Repair Mechanic to be responsible for trouble-shooting, maintaining, servicing and repairing Xylem Dewatering pumping and support equipment in a safe and efficient manner in the shop or at a customer job site. This position is also responsible for recording parts and labor accurately on appropriate Work Orders and Internal Equipment Repair forms and participating in a service call rotation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Rebuild diesel engines and pump ends.
• Perform routine inspections, preventative maintenance and servicing as directed on Godwin fleet equipment between each rental.
• Perform an initial inspection of Godwin fleet equipment for possible damages; diagnose damages; report damages to Service Manager.
• Repair damaged equipment.
• Test all repaired equipment for proper operation and quality.
• Perform preventative maintenance on Company vehicles and shop support equipment as directed (air dryer, chain saws, lifts, etc.).
• Troubleshoot diesel engine, electrical systems and pump problems.
• Perform diagnostic checks using computer technology.
• Perform related duties as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• 3-5 years of experience and/or training or combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
• Knowledge of:
• Methods, materials, tools and techniques used in equipment repair and maintenance.
• Diagnosing basic mechanical problems.
• General diesel engine repair.
• General DC electric and circuit testing skills.
• General diesel engine component location and identification.
• Safety practices and procedures.
• Basic mechanical aptitude.
