Job summary

Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California is seeking a Pulsed Power Engineering Technical Associate to support the National Ignition Facility and Photon Science Directorate. Qualifications

  • U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
  • Experience with lab safety protocols (chemicals, lasers, high voltage).
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and support project goals.
  • Experience with power supply design, pulsed power, energy storage (capacitors), MOSFET switching, and diagnostics.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and high voltage power supplies.
  • Experience writing and following detailed procedures and presenting at design reviews.

Responsibilities

  • Provide innovative technical expertise for electrical and pulsed power systems assembly, testing, and design modifications.
  • Propose complex electronics and controls designs for software/ systems.
  • Contribute to detailed plans, schedules, and budgets for project activities.
  • Author detailed technical procedures and documentation.
  • Lead design reviews and briefings to refine concepts and decisions.
