Job summary

Georgia-Pacific LLC has an exciting opportunity for a Superintendent for Pulping and Bleaching at our Brunswick Cellulose facility in Brunswick, GA. This role leads the Pulping area to achieve safety and quality excellence while fostering a culture of teamwork.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in operations within the Pulp and Paper manufacturing industry and strong skills in leading diverse teams. Benefits include medical, dental, and retirement plans among others.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of operations experience in Pulp and Paper manufacturing.
  • 7+ years of supervisory experience leading a team of direct reports.
  • Experience with pulping processes including digesters and bleaching.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operations to achieve mill goals and continuous improvement.

Georgia-Pacific has an exciting opportunity for a talented Superintendent for Pulping and Bleaching at our Brunswick Cellulose facility in Brunswick, GA. The role is expected to lead the Pulping area and Bleaching area organizations to achieve safety, environmental, and quality excellence and to lead transformational change through work processes and implementation of technology.   • Manages and advances all aspects of manufacturing to include: Reliability, Quality, Cost, Yield, Compliance and Capital/Maintenance Investment

  • Acquires and shares knowledge of applicable standards, policies, and procedures in areas of EH&S

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • 10 or more years of operations experience in Pulp and Paper manufacturing
  • Seven (7) or more years of supervisory experience leading a team of direct reports
  • Experience with pulping processes to include working with digesters, screens and washing systems, bleaching systems
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher
  • Experience with Maintenance and Reliability Management Systems
