Pulmonary - General and Sleep Medicine Opening in Wisconsin

Location: La Crosse, WI

Position: Full Time & Permanent

Health System in La Crosse, Wisconsin, is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Pulmonary Critical Care physician to join an established and collegial department. The practice offers a busy, physician-led environment committed to high-quality patient care and satisfaction.

Pulmonary & Sleep Medicine Responsibilities:

1. Manage outpatient and inpatient cases.
2. Outpatient schedule: Monday - Friday, daytime hours.
3. Minimal inpatient coverage currently, with potential for expansion.
4. Provide consults and management for various pulmonary and sleep-related disorders.
5. Responsibilities include clinic visits, hospital consults, and pulmonary procedures (diagnostic bronchoscopy, pleural procedures).
6. Sleep medicine duties include managing sleep-related breathing disorders and interpreting overnight oximetry; additional training may include polysomnogram interpretation, sleep behavior disorders, parasomnias, insomnia, and restless legs.

Critical Care Medicine Responsibilities:

• Primary management of critically ill medical and surgical patients in a busy 12-bed ICU.
• Opportunities for teaching rotating Family Medicine Residents.

Licensing and Certification:

• Pulmonary and critical care credentials required.
• Preference for Sleep Medicine training.
