Job Summary: $30K start incentive, insurance on your first day, malpractice with tail, PSLF Program! Geisinger, a national leader in healthcare innovation and technology, is seeking a BC/BE Pulmonary/Critical Care trained physician with fellowship training and experience in Interventional Pulmonology for an exciting opportunity at Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pennsylvania. There is also a strong Sleep presence for those boarded in and who want to practice Sleep Medicine.

Job Duties

1. At a Glance:

• 1 week ICU 12-hour days (mostly days, some swings/nights).
• 2-3 days off
• 1 week inpatient consults, studies, etc., 8-hour days (5 days only). Call from home.
• 2 weeks clinic, 8-hour days (volume: 12-14 patients/day). Read PFTs (pulmonary function tests).
• Perform scheduled procedures such as navigational bronchoscopy at a minimum. Other procedures include endobronchial ultrasound, bronchoscopic lung volume reduction (BLVR), bronchial valves, robotic bronchoscopy, endobronchial biopsies, and further Interventional Pulmonary program development.
• Receive both clinical and academic titles upon start.
• Teach residents, fellows, and medical students, and participate in scholarly activities, interdisciplinary programs, committees, and research.
• Compensation: Competitive package with $30k start incentive.

Position Details:

GEISINGER MEDICAL CENTER (GMC), located in Danville, PA, is the largest tertiary/quaternary care teaching hospital in the region, licensed for 475 beds, including 89 pediatric beds in the Janet Weis Children's Hospital. GMC is a Magnet Hospital and maintains the region's only Level I Regional Resource Trauma Center with additional qualifications in pediatrics. It offers a wide range of specialized services including neurosciences, cardiovascular, transplantation, women's health, oncology, and orthopedics.
