Job summary

Essen Health Care in New York is seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our pulmonology team. The successful candidate will work with pulmonary physicians to evaluate and manage patients with respiratory conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.

Responsibilities include patient assessments, chronic disease management, and support for bronchoscopy/ thoracentesis where applicable, with thorough documentation in the EMR.

Qualifications

• PA/NP graduates with required licensure and board certification.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS preferred for pediatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and manage pulmonary patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
• Order and interpret chest imaging, pulmonary function tests, ABGs, and sleep studies.
• Educate patients on treatment plans and inhaler techniques; coordinate follow-up.
