AdventHealth Zephyrhills is seeking a compassionate Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our pulmonary and critical care team in Zephyrhills, Florida. This full-time role collaborates with pulmonologists and multidisciplinary staff to provide care for patients with acute and chronic lung conditions in outpatient and inpatient settings.

The ideal candidate holds a Master's or Doctorate in nursing, Florida APRN licensure, national FNP certification, and 2+ years of NP experience,

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Florida APRN license or eligibility for licensure.
• National certification as Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP).

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose and manage pulmonary disorders (COPD, asthma, sleep apnea, interstitial lung disease).
• Perform hospital rounds and inpatient consults.
• Order, interpret and communicate PFTs, imaging and labs; coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams.
• Provide patient education and follow-up on disease management.
• Document encounters in EMR and participate in quality improvement.

Job Description Summary:

AdventHealth Medical Group is seeking an experienced and compassionate Pulmonology Nurse Practitioner (APRN) to join our growing pulmonary and critical care team in Zephyrhills, Florida. This provider will work collaboratively with pulmonologists and multidisciplinary healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care for patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions in both outpatient and inpatient settings.

Job Description:

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with pulmonary disorders, including: COPD Asthma Sleep apnea Interstitial lung disease Pulmonary hypertension Chronic respiratory failure Lung nodules and pulmonary infections
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop treatment plans.
• Order, interpret, and communicate diagnostic testing, including: Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs) Imaging studies Laboratory results Sleep studies
• Perform hospital rounds and participate in inpatient consults as assigned.
• Provide follow-up care and disease management education.
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, nurses, and care management teams.
• Document patient encounters accurately within the electronic medical record.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to organizational standards of care.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• Current Florida APRN license or eligibility for licensure.
• National certification as: Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) Adult-
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Minimum of 2 years of Nurse Practitioner experience.
• Prior pulmonology, sleep medicine, critical care, hospital medicine, or internal medicine experience preferred.

Preferred

• Experience managing chronic pulmonary diseases.
• Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
