Sidney Regional Medical Center in Sidney, Nebraska is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Pulmonology team in the Specialty Clinic. The role involves collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care for patients with acute and chronic pulmonary conditions.

The position covers both inpatient and outpatient settings, including assessments, diagnostics, treatment planning, patient education, and ongoing disease

Responsabilités

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical exams for patients with respiratory and pulmonary disorders.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions such as COPD, asthma, interstitial lung disease, pulmonary hypertension, sleep apnea, and lung infections.
• Order, interpret, and follow up on diagnostic tests including chest X-rays, CT scans, pulmonary function tests, and sleep studies.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
• Prescribe medications and non-pharmacological treatments in accordance with state and federal regulations.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and families regarding disease prevention, lifestyle modifications, medication adherence, and symptom management.
• Monitor treatment efficacy and adjust plans as necessary for optimal patient outcomes.
• Coordinate care with primary care providers, specialists, and ancillary services as needed.
