Job summary

Sidney Regional Medical Center in Sidney, Nebraska, seeks a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Pulmonology team in the Specialty Clinic. The role involves comprehensive respiratory assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning for acute and chronic pulmonary conditions, with both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities.

Requirements include an NP/PA graduate degree, Nebraska RN/NP license, and BLS/ACLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or PA program with a Master’s or Doctorate degree.
• License as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in Nebraska is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive health assessments and physical examinations for patients with respiratory and pulmonary disorders.
• Diagnose and manage acute and chronic pulmonary conditions (e.g., COPD, asthma, sleep apnea).
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests (X-ray, CT, PFTs, sleep studies) and develop treatment plans.
• Prescribe medications and non-pharmacological therapies per regulations.
• Maintain timely EMR documentation and coordinate care with other providers.
