Job description

Position: Chief of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine

The Department of Internal Medicine at this prestigious medical school is seeking a full-time, board-certified Pulmonary Critical Care Sleep physician to lead the division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at the Associate Professor/Professor level. The primary responsibilities include the expansion and further development of the division.

The Chief will have a combination of administrative, clinical, research, and educational duties. The leader will oversee our growing academic practice and promote expertise in medical education, complex care, quality and safety, and health service research.

Clinical Responsibilities:
  • Teaching students, house staff, and fellows
  • Patient care
  • Performing pulmonary-related procedures
  • Engaging in basic and/or clinical research

Faculty share weekend call and are assigned to clinical services based on activities such as research, formal undergraduate teaching, or clinical education roles.

Candidate Qualifications:
  • Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Pulmonary/Critical Care/Sleep Fellowship program
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, and Critical Care
