The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) seeks two faculty physicians to join the Lung Transplant Program in Milwaukee, WI at Froedtert Hospital. Board-certified or board-eligible in Pulmonary and Critical Care, you will evaluate candidates for lung transplantation and manage post-transplant care in a multidisciplinary setting.

You will provide inpatient and outpatient services, participate in teaching and research, and contribute to program expansion within a collaborative academic environment.

Qualifications

  • ABIM Board Certification/Board Eligibility in Pulmonary & Critical Care.
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Wisconsin.
  • Lung Transplant training/experience highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate patients being considered for lung transplantation and ongoing care of post-transplant patients.

Pulmonologist - Lung Transplant Program - Faculty

The Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) seeks 2 board certified / board eligible faculty physicians (open rank) for our expanding Lung Transplant Program. These positions are located in Milwaukee, WI at Froedtert Hospital.

Position Highlights
  • Build a strong academic career within a collaborative, multidisciplinary transplant team
  • Active involvement in evaluation of patients being considered for lung transplantation, as well as ongoing care of patients who have undergone transplant
  • Provide both inpatient & outpatient care. Inpatient care will focus on managing transplant candidates & post-transplant patients during hospitalization, working closely with surgery, critical care, infectious disease, & other specialty teams.
  • Outpatient care will include pre-transplant assessments, longitudinal post-transplant follow-up, & participation in multidisciplinary transplant clinics.

Innovative studies conducted in cooperation with the National Institutes of Health (NIH), and pharmaceutical companies concentrate on discovering best practice transplant approaches & long term survival A joint program of Children's Wisconsin and Froedtert Hospital, the Transplant Center operates with vital support by Versiti Blood Center of Wisconsin for research initiatives & tissue typing. Many important breakthroughs in transplant care credited to our transplant physicians since Froedtert Hospital’s program began in 1967.
