Job summary

St. Michael’s Medical Center in Newark, NJ is seeking a Full-Time Pulmonologist to join a busy pulmonary medicine practice.

This role offers a Monday–Friday schedule within a collaborative clinical environment and is located in the heart of Newark, with convenient access to New York City. Qualified candidates will hold an MD or DO, complete a Pulmonary Medicine fellowship (or Pulmonary/Critical Care), be board eligible or certified, and possess NJ license or eligibility.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree required.
• Pulmonary Medicine or Pulmonary/Critical Care fellowship completed.
• Board eligible or board certified in Pulmonary Disease.
• New Jersey medical license or eligibility.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical experience preferred.
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Outpatient pulmonary consultations and follow-up care
• Diagnosis and management of respiratory diseases
• Evaluation of chronic and acute pulmonary conditions
• Interpretation of pulmonary diagnostic testing
• Collaboration with primary care physicians, hospitalists, and other specialists
• Providing high-quality, evidence-based patient care
• Participation in the medical staff and department activities as appropriate
