Pearl of Des Plaines is seeking a Pulmonary Treatment Specialist (RN) to lead day-to-day nursing assistant activities, coordinate shift services, and ensure safe, high-quality care for residents in Des Plaines, Illinois. Responsibilities include medication administration, reporting, and collaboration with other departments to meet resident needs.

A current Illinois Nursing License is required, with pulmonary care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current Illinois Nursing License (Required).
• Experience in pulmonary care or respiratory therapy in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting preferred.
• Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
• Position involves standing and physical tasks.

Responsabilités

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants. Plan shift services, programs and activities with staff.
• Provide written & oral reports/recommendations; admit, transfer and discharge residents; provide leadership to nursing personnel.
• Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician.
• Develop & maintain good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel to meet residents' needs.
• Monitor assigned personnel to ensure safety in use of equipment and supplies.
• Maintain confidentiality of resident care information including PHI.

Responsibilities for Pulmonary Treatment Specialist

• Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants. Meet with your assigned nursing staff, as well as support personnel, in planning the shift’s services, programs and activities.

• Make written & oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of the shift as required. Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required. Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift.

• Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician.

• Develop & maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.

• Monitor your assigned personnel to ensure that they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies.

• Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.

Qualifications for Pulmonary Treatment Specialist

• Current Illinois Nursing License (Required)

• Experience in pulmonary care or respiratory therapy in a skilled nursing or healthcare setting preferred.

• Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.

• This position involves a physical component, requiring the ability to stand for extended periods, and perform other tasks that involve physical activity.
