Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC seeks a Progressive Care Registered Nurse to coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care and advocates for patients to ensure an excellent experience.

You will assess patient condition on admission and each shift, document care, administer prescribed medications, monitor responses, and maintain knowledge of cardiac and medical-surgical

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience.
• Current RN licensure in North Carolina (NC BON).
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• ADN required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient condition during admission and each shift.
• Perform procedures as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document administration of care in the medical record promptly.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor responses.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, procedures and equipment for cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The Progressive Care Registered Nurse coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care. In collaboration with medical providers, the RN provides pre-operative and post-operative nursing care. The RN serves as an advocate for patients to support an unparalleled patient experience.

What you will do in this role:

• Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
• Perform procedures or other functions as ordered by the medical provider.
• Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
• Perform the administration of prescribed medications and monitors response.
• Maintain a knowledge of medications, procedures, and equipment used in the care of cardiac and medical-surgical patients.

What qualifications you will need:

• Required Experience: One year of RN experience
• Preferred Experience: Hospital nursing experience
• Required Education: Associate degree in nursing (ADN)
• Preferred Education : Bachelor of Science in nursing (BSN)
• Required License Must have and maintain current licensure as registered nurse with the North Carolina Board of Nursing. eNLC (Enhanced Nurse License Compact) license may apply, licensee should confirm with NCBON
• Required Certification: BLS Healthcare Provider
• Preferred Certification: National Certification in area of specialty
