Job summary

externallincarecareers is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to staff a pulmonary health and rehabilitation program. The role spans full time, part time, or consultant basis, focusing on implementing regimens and supporting participants through respiratory therapy and lifestyle changes.

Key duties include supervising exercise sessions, monitoring vitals and oximetry, and coordinating with the rehab team to optimize outcomes. CPR/ACLS certification and state licensure are required.

Qualifications

• Strong communication with rehab team
• Ability to assess risk factors and provide support for lifestyle changes
• Commitment to clinical competencies in pulmonary rehab
• Specialization in cardiopulmonary care is preferred
• Must lift and/or move up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Implement respiratory regimen for participants
• Augment care as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Develop individualized treatment plans with staff
• Monitor vital signs and oximetry during exercise
• Adjust exercise prescriptions based on patient response and physician guidance
• Document assessments and outcomes
• Respond to emergencies and initiate ACLS as required
• Participate in staff meetings and program education
