Position Overview

Seeking a qualified General Pulmonologist to join UNC Health Wayne in Goldsboro, NC. This role offers the opportunity to provide quality, cost-effective care to a diverse patient population with chronic respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities

• Manage care for patients with chronic respiratory diseases such as asthma, emphysema, tuberculosis, and lung cancer.
• Coach patients on illness management and lifestyle changes.
• Perform bronchoscopy, thoracentesis, and pulmonary function tests.
• Treat conditions like COPD, asthma, sleep apnea, and pneumonia.
• Provide consultation services for pulmonary and sleep issues (hospital-based, not required).
• Manage ventilators and critical care (preferred but not required).

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited MD or DO program.
• Experience or training in general pulmonology.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
