Job summary

Responsibilities include rooming patients, immunizations, oxygen qualifications, and patient education, while collaborating with pulmonary physicians and respiratory therapists to maintain unit standards

Qualifications

• RN with US nursing licensure; strong clinical assessment abilities.
• Ability to care for complex patients including asthma, COPD, and interstitial lung diseases.
• Willingness to coach and educate patients and families.

Responsibilities

• General Purpose: Accountable for proficient patient care inclusive of complex patients. Assumes an expanded charge nurse role and provides unit supervision for orientation of new staff.
• FT position available (40 hours), Daytime, M-F, No weekends. No Holidays.
• Collaborate with pulmonary physicians and respiratory therapists to provide care to complex patients with asthma, COPD, lung cancer and interstitial lung diseases; including rooming patients, immunizations, oxygen qualifications and patient teaching.
