Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a part-time nurse practitioner or physician assistant to join the Pulmonology and Sleep Medicine team in Pineville, NC.

The APP will work across inpatient, outpatient, and LTACH settings with a Tuesday–Saturday schedule shifted as needed for emergent staffing, and a 24-hour work week. North Carolina licensure and acute care training are required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program.
• North Carolina license, North Carolina DEA, BLS and ACLS required.
• 1–2 years APP experience preferred; Pulmonary Medicine fellowship and/or experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work rotating through inpatient, outpatient, and LTACH locations.
• Work schedule – Monday–Friday 8am–5pm; nights/weekends rotation as needed for emergent staffing.

Details of this practice and qualified candidate:

• Physical practice: Atrium Health Pineville
• Work schedule – Monday- Friday 8am-5pm, Rotation to nights / weekends only as needed for emergent/critical staffing shortages
• APP will work rotating through inpatient, outpatient, and LTACH locations
• Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program
• Nurse practitioners are required to have an acute care master’s degree or doctorate in nursing practice.Certification as an ACNP from a nationally recognized certifying body is required
• Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of PAs is required.
• 1- 2 years of APP experience preferred; post graduate Pulmonary Medicine fellowship and/or Pulmonary Medicine experience is a plus
• North Carolina license, North Carolina DEA, BLS and ACLS required
