Job summary

Toledo Clinic's Pulmonary Critical Care & Sleep Department is seeking a full-time Medical Assistant to perform both clinical and administrative duties in Maumee, OH. Hours are Monday–Friday, 8:00–4:30, with a credentialing requirement within 60 days of hire.

The role offers a $2,000 sign-on bonus and potential additional retention bonus after one year. Assist physicians, prepare rooms, and manage clerical tasks to support patient care.

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Credentialed Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) or able to obtain within 60 days.
• Medical Assisting degree or diploma required.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians with patient care and minor procedures.
• Prepare exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Handle clerical tasks: phones, scheduling, patient charts.
• Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare them for physicians.
• Call in prescription refills as requested and manage supplies.
• Follow up on lab work and X-ray results.
