Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's Degree - Graduate of accredited program in respiratory care
  • Experience: Six months in Pulmonary Function Lab A.A.S
  • Licenses and Certifications: Texas Medical Board License by the TMB Upon Hire and Registered by the NBRC Upon Hire (BLS) Certification, CPFT/ RPFT/ etc. within 180 Days

Responsibilities

  • Performs PFT and CPX testing according to departmental policies and procedures.
  • Arterial blood gas testing.
  • Assess patient effort and cooperation for PFT testing.
  • Maintain and document PFT QA and device performance.
  • Communicate results with physicians and document findings.
  • Support teamwork and maintain safety standards.
  • Handle inventory and equipment maintenance as needed.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
