Job summary

Kelly Government Solutions is seeking a Pulmonary Function Technician to support NIH research by performing PFTs, CPET, IOS, and related respiratory tests. The role involves monitoring patients, ensuring safety, and maintaining testing equipment within a lab environment at the NIH facilities.

The contractor will document results in patient EMRs, assist with SOP development, and mentor staff as needed. A biology-related bachelor’s degree and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology or related field is required.
• COARC/CAAHEP accreditation and valid BLS provider card, with ACLS or PALS.
• Demonstrated clinical skills in PFT testing and QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Support planning and execution of research experiments in the lab.
• Perform PFTs, CPET, 6-minute walk, IOS, methacholine challenge, and exhaled NO tests.
• Monitor physiological responses and provide first aid when needed.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort; collect arterial blood gases as required.
• Set up, calibrate, maintain, and troubleshoot PFT and exercise testing equipment.
