UPMC Hamot, located in Erie, Pennsylvania, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Pulmonary Physician to join our dynamic and well-established practice. Position Highlights
  • Outpatient Focus (75%): Provide comprehensive pulmonary care in an outpatient setting, fostering long-term patient relationships and continuity of care.
  • Inpatient Consultations (25%): Offer consultative services for a diverse range of pulmonary cases. *No ICU coverage or in-house call required.
  • Optional Sleep Medicine: If board-certified/board-eligible in Sleep Medicine, you can incorporate sleep studies and related services into your practice.
  • Strong APP Support: Collaborate with a skilled team of Advanced Practice Providers who assist with patient care and streamline clinic operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose, manage, and treat a variety of pulmonary conditions in the outpatient setting.
  • Conduct inpatient pulmonary consultations, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • (Optional) Provide sleep medicine services, including evaluation, diagnosis, and management of sleep disorders.
  • Provide patient and family education on preventative measures, treatment options, and long-term care strategies.
  • Supervise and support Advanced Practice Providers in delivering patient-centered care.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing education activities.
Qualifications
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonology.
  • Board Certification/Eligibility in Sleep Medicine (optional).
  • Mid-career experience preferred (5+ years of clinical practice ideal).
  • 2026 graduates welcome to apply.
  • Eligible for or holding an active Pennsylvania medical license.
