Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Pulmonary Technologist for our Downtown Jacksonville location. This full-time, day shift role focuses on pulmonary diagnostic testing, ABG analysis, and assisting with bronchoscopy procedures to support physicians and the care team.

The ideal candidate will perform PFT testing, maintain equipment quality, and document results with accuracy, while adhering to QA processes and patient safety standards.

Qualifications

• Certificate required for respiratory profession.
• AS degree in Respiratory Therapy preferred.
• BLS required.
• ACLS, PALS, NRP preferred.
• Florida license required for practice.
• RRT preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performing and completing pulmonary function testing, including stress testing.
• Troubleshooting, calibrating, and performing quality control on PFT analyzers.
• Drawing and analyzing arterial blood gases.
• Assisting physicians with bronchoscopy procedures.
• Supporting bronchoscopy procedures, including SD, EBUS, and robotic systems.
• Assisting with monthly quality assurance (QA) reporting.
• Maintaining accurate and complete documentation of testing and patient results.
