Job summary

Baptist Health in Downtown Jacksonville, FL, seeks a Registered Pulmonary Technologist for a PRN shift. The role performs specialized pulmonary diagnostic testing and supports physicians in evaluation and treatment of respiratory conditions.

Responsibilities include pulmonary function testing (stress testing), quality control on PFT analyzers, arterial blood gas analysis, and assisting with bronchoscopy procedures and related robotic systems. Documentation and QA duties are also involved.

Qualifications

• Associate of Science degree required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS preferred.
• PALS preferred.
• NRP certification preferred.
• Florida licensed respiratory therapist (DOH) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform pulmonary function testing, including stress testing.
• Troubleshoot, calibrate, and perform quality control on PFT analyzers.
• Draw and analyze arterial blood gases.
• Assist physicians with bronchoscopy procedures.
• Support bronchoscopy procedures including SD, EBUS, and robotic systems.
• Assist with monthly QA reporting.
• Maintain accurate and complete documentation of testing and patient results.
