ACEP Now in Alabama seeks a Board-Certified/Board-Eligible Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine physician to join a dynamic team delivering high-acuity care to a diverse patient population in the Wiregrass region.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Pulmonary Disease and Critical Care Medicine.
• Eligible for medical licensure in Alabama.
• Strong clinical and procedural skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Commitment to patient-centered, evidence-based care.

Responsibilities

• Manage critically ill patients in the ICU setting.
• Evaluate and treat complex pulmonary disorders.
• Address conditions such as respiratory failure, COPD, asthma, pulmonary hypertension, and pneumonia.
• Conduct ICU consultations and collaborate with hospitalists and specialists.
• Provide evaluations and follow-up care in the pulmonary clinic.
• Perform procedures including bronchoscopy and other critical care interventions.
• Engage in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Mentor residents and medical students.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
