Job summary

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs seeks a physician to manage MICU duties, supervise residents and fellows, and participate in hospital committees.

This is an Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP) eligible position with review of the EDRP application within four months of start date. Qualifications

• Must be a licensed physician with an MD or DO degree.
• Residency in an accredited core specialty and board eligibility/certification preferred.
• Active, unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in the U.S. or territory.

Responsibilities

• Manage patients in the Medical Intensive Care Unit and provide consult services.
• Supervise residents and fellows in clinical settings.
• Coordinate and communicate treatment plans with hospital teams and specialists.
• Participate in call coverage and ICU administration duties.
