Job summary

Piedmont Medical Care Corporation is seeking an APP (Nurse Practitioner or PA) to join the Pulmonary Critical Care Night/WEO team in Atlanta, GA. The role supports ICU/CCU/CVICU care under physician oversight and participates in teaching, research and quality activities.

Responsibilities include direct care of critically ill adults, order/interpret tests, and perform procedures with a focus on patient outcomes and collaboration with the ICU team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Master’s degree in Nursing, OR graduate of an accredited Physician Assistants program with current license for the Georgia State Composite Board.
• No minimum experience is required for this role.

Responsibilities

• Provides direct clinical services for critically ill adults under physician supervision.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic tests and documents results.
• Performs procedures including arterial, venous and capillary sampling, EKGs and hemodynamic measurements.
• Assists with radiographic studies and diagnostic/therapeutic procedures as needed.
• Provides CPR and airway management, and supports urgent interventions per protocol.
