Critical Care/Pulmonary Medicine Opportunity in Northeast TN
Johnson City Medical Center (JCMC) and Ballad Health Medical Associates are seeking a board certified, Pulmonary/Critical Care Specialist to practice in the Appalachian Mountains. The successful candidate will join the ICU group with a work hard play hard approach in serving the community. JCMC is in a university town in Eastern Tennessee within the Tri-Cities area, serving 1.3 million people across 29 counties in Northeast TN, Northeast VA, Southwest VA, Western NC, and Eastern KY. The group provides services to JCMC, a Level I Trauma Center offering a full range of specialized care including Neuro-endovascular surgery, neurosurgery, cardiovascular surgery (including TAVR) and a comprehensive stroke center. The critical care team is collaborating with the cardiothoracic surgery team and a regional major academic medical center to develop an ECMO program. A successful candidate will have a strong interest in teaching and may participate in an Infectious Diseases/Critical Care Medicine Fellowship program with East Tennessee State University.
Full-time BC/BE pulmonary/critical care physician with a strong interest in academics. Candidate has an interest in pulmonary clinic being a part of their practice. Candidate has an interest in heading up the critical care fellowship site director position. The successful candidate will actively participate in our critical care fellowship program. Strong interest in ECMO support.
