Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our Pulmonary Clinic team in Round Rock, Texas. You will perform patient assessments, deliver care under RN direction, and contribute to planning, intervention, and evaluation.

Ideal candidates have a nursing-focused education, a valid Vocational Nurse license, BLS, less than one year of experience, and a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
• Nursing field of study.
• Less than a year of experience in a similar role.
• Vocational Nursing Practitioner's License.
• Basic Life Support certification is essential (can be acquired within 30 days).

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and vital sign monitoring following LN Scope of Practice.
• Support RN in developing and adjusting care plans and goals.
• Provide care with a focus on comfort, safety, and patient education.
• Assist in pain management and patient advocacy throughout the care process.
• Educate patients and families, and coordinate with the healthcare team.
• Collaborate to implement care plans under RN/provider direction.
