Job summary

PLOS is a nonprofit open access publisher advancing open science and research integrity. This role focuses on investigating and resolving publication ethics cases across PLOS journals, and providing ethics guidance to journal teams and stakeholders.

You will work remotely within the United States, collaborating with an in-house team to align cases with COPE guidance, train staff, and contribute to projects that improve detection and prevention of integrity issues.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in a scientific discipline.
• Experience in editorial or publication ethics in STM publishing.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Investigate and resolve publication ethics cases for all PLOS journals.
• Provide publication ethics support to journal teams and stakeholders.
• Manage ethics cases efficiently and align with PLOS standards and COPE guidance.
