Job summary

The City of Surrey ND is accepting applications for a Public Works Employee with duties to include water, sewer, and street maintenance. Class B driver’s license with air brakes and equipment operating experience preferred. Position includes on call and must able to pass appropriate certifications.

This position is open until filled, 40hrs per week, and includes a full benefit package. Wage DOE.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid North Dakota driver’s license.
• ND Water and Wastewater Certifications within a timely manner.
• Pesticide and herbicide certification required or obtainable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains records and prepares reports on a variety of subjects.
• Establishes and maintains good working relationships with community groups, members of the community, and contractors.
• Assists with maintenance and construction of water and sewer systems, streets, and buildings.
• Performs other related duties as assigned in a timely fashion.
