Qualifications

• Experience inspecting, investigating, drafting, administering, or designing public works projects.
• Technical coursework plus hands-on engineering technician experience.
• Valid Minnesota Class D driver’s license or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Inspect materials and construction projects related to sewer infrastructure.
• Provide technical assistance to engineers in planning, design, inspection, and maintenance of sewer projects.
• Perform construction observation and inspection for sewer-related projects.
• Review utility plans for sewer conflicts and represent Sewer Utility in third-party utility plan review meetings.
• Oversee GSOC and utility-locating operations, including tickets, coordination, and regulatory compliance.
• Manage GIS, CAD, and asset data; plan and supervise traffic studies and field data collection.
• Supervise staff, assign work, train, and manage performance.
• Manage equipment, budget, and procurement to support service delivery.
• Coordinate with contractors, utilities, property owners, and the public; facilitate weekly meetings.
