Qualifications

• Six years of progressively responsible fiscal or budget management experience, including a minimum of three years in a public agency.
• Bachelor's degree in business/public administration, accounting, economics, or a closely related field.
• Experience supervising professional, technical and clerical staff preferred.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage capital and operating budgets including revenue projections, fee analysis, and financing options.
• Develop, implement, and supervise accounting, billing systems and fiscal reporting for debt issuance and grants.
• Supervise and develop staff; train consultants and contractors; establish performance goals.
• Coordinate with department heads and external agencies; ensure compliance with regulations and reporting requirements.
• Perform customer service audits and deliver customer service training; represent the department in budget discussions.
