Job summary

City of Panama City Beach is seeking candidates for Street Maintenance Worker positions at Trainee to III levels. The role covers construction, maintenance, repair and operation of city streets and related infrastructure with emphasis on safety and public interaction.

Incumbents may advance from Trainee level or be hired with related experience. Work may include overtime and varying shifts, in outdoor environments. Perform duties to ensure safe, well-maintained streets and infrastructure.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Florida Driver’s License with acceptable driving record.
• Two years of street maintenance experience preferred; ability to obtain FDOT MOT Intermediate within one year.

Responsibilities

• Perform general maintenance along streets and rights-of-way in CRA and non-CRA areas.
• Picks up trash, debris, and spills on roadways, parks, beaches, etc.
• Install and maintains street signs and perform related tasks.
• Operate various light and heavy equipment and vehicles as needed.
