Job Description

Under general supervision from the Working Foreman or higher classification, and in accordance with established policies and procedures, the incumbent assists with manual labor tasks involved in construction and general maintenance activities.

Responsibilities include working on road maintenance crews, breaking pavement, pouring and shoveling asphalt, operating manual or automatic compactors and digging equipment, and filling depressions with sand or gravel.

Assists Truck Drivers with recycling trucks, loads and unloads heavy materials, and moves or aids in moving heavy boxes and equipment.

Operates air compressors, pumps, generators, and related Public Works equipment.

The position offers flexible hours of 20-40 hours per week, with additional overtime and weekend work available. The pay range is $19.00-$22.00 per hour.
