Job summary

Town of Avon is seeking a Public Works Operator II to maintain roads, parks, and infrastructure in a mountainous Colorado setting. You will operate heavy equipment, perform routine checks, and support events and field operations.

Qualifications

• Requires HS diploma or GED and 5+ years operating heavy equipment.
• CDL is required; Flagger Certification preferred.
• Demonstrates safety awareness and reliable work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Operates a variety of heavy and small equipment to maintain roads, parks, and utilities.
• Performs routine checks and coordinates with fleet maintenance for repairs.
• Plows snow, sands, and de-ices surfaces as needed.
• Maintains waterways, culverts, ditches, and related infrastructure.
• Assists with events and traffic control during special activities.
