Job summary

The City of Hastings is seeking a Public Works Supervisor to oversee maintenance crews and support the Public Works Superintendent in planning and managing operations for Hastings' infrastructure. You will ensure timely, high-quality service to residents and coordinate with the Standby Duty operator for after-hours support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Eight years of progressively responsible maintenance/public works experience; three years on municipal water, sewer, stormwater.
• Demonstrated team leadership experience.
• Must obtain MN LTAP Roads Scholar or APWA-MN certificate within three years.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Public Works Maintenance crews.
• Assist Public Works Superintendent in planning, developing and managing maintenance programs.
• Be available for after-hours Standby Duty and coordinate with standby operator.
