This role focuses on installing and replacing pavement markings, such as school crosswalks, stop bars, chevrons, buttons, and RPMs. Our team works in residential areas throughout Plano to keep residents and visitors safe as they travel our community. No experience needed! We will train you!
The hours for this position are Tuesday - Friday, 6:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.
The successful candidate may be offered a position as either a Public Works Maintenance Worker I or II. The hourly rate for Maintenance Worker I is $17.69, and for Maintenance Worker II, it is $18.58.

Public Works Maintenance Worker I
Distinguishing Characteristics: Entry-level; performs routine duties under close supervision. Differentiates from higher levels by complexity of tasks and skill level.
High school diploma or GED; one year of maintenance or construction experience preferred; valid Texas Class "C" driver’s license required. Willing to train candidates without experience.
Distinguishing Characteristics: Mid-level; performs more complex tasks with less supervision. Differentiates from Worker III by skill and responsibility level.
High school diploma or GED; two years of maintenance or construction experience preferred; valid Texas Class "C" driver’s license; certification in Sign and Pavement Marking installation and safety required.
Must pass drug tests, background checks, and meet physical demands. Employees may need to work extended hours, including holidays and weekends, as essential personnel.
