City of Fort Lupton is hiring for a Public Works Maintenance position focused on sewer and storm drainage systems, plus street infrastructure upkeep. You will assist with repairs, inspections, and tool maintenance while serving the public with quality service.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of basic maintenance practices for water, sewer and streets.
• Understanding of construction maintenance techniques and tools.
• Ability to operate a variety of public works equipment safely.
• Familiarity with departmental rules and procedures.
• Ability to work well with staff and the public.

Responsibilities

• Assist in installing, maintaining and repairing sanitary sewer lines.
• Assist in installing, maintaining and repairing storm drainage systems.
• Repair, install and replace components of the city’s collection system.
• Inspect equipment and vehicles for fluids, leaks and wear.
• Care for tools and equipment used on assignments.
• Respond to sewer utility customer questions from the public.
• Direct and control traffic around work sites as needed.
• Work on-call, overtime and holidays as required by supervisor.
• Assist skilled trades on various projects.
• Perform exterior cemetery maintenance including gravesite excavation and tombstones.
