Job summary

Mel’s Services is seeking a full-time maintenance worker to perform a variety of duties in maintenance and repair of the city’s infrastructure and facilities. The role requires good mechanical aptitude and willingness to handle diverse tasks to support year-round city upkeep, including snow plowing, grass cutting, and trail and park maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma and two years of equivalent education/experience.
• Class B or Higher driver’s license or ability to achieve within 3 months of employment.
• Ability to operate snowplows and work nontraditional hours during winter months.
• Ability to operate all types of equipment to maintain Streets, Storm sewers, Buildings, Parks, Playgrounds, Athletic fields, Trails.
• Background check and D.O.T. drug testings are required.
• A Clean driving record is required all through employment.

Responsibilities

• Snowplowing and winter maintenance.
• Grass cutting and grooming of trails.
• General maintenance of recreational parks and facilities.
• Support year-round maintenance on city infrastructure.
