Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking a Maintenance Worker III to support street, drainage, and facility upkeep across city grounds and public areas. You will operate a range of equipment, assist in concrete and asphalt repairs, and ensure safety for the crew and public.

Requires three years of maintenance/labor experience and relevant Texas licenses (Driver's, CDL-B, Vehicle Inspectors). The role offers full-time hours with competitive pay and opportunities for growth within public works.

Qualifications

• Three years of maintenance and labor experience in public works or related field.
• Possess a valid Texas Driver's License with clean driving history.
• Commercial Driver’s License Class B may be required for some departments.
• Texas Vehicle Inspectors License may be required for certain departments.

Responsibilities

• Perform concrete, asphalt work and repair sidewalks, curbs and streets.
• Lay pipes for storm sewers, drains and water mains for proper flow.
• Operate dump trucks and other equipment to move tools and materials.
• Flag traffic, set barriers and ensure crew and public safety.
• Dig trenches, cut and clear debris, and maintain drainage ditches.
• Conduct preventive maintenance and manage equipment inventory.
