Job summary

Massachusetts Water Resources Authority (MWRA) in Barre, MA seeks a Laborer to perform routine and skilled manual tasks in support of operations and maintenance. The role requires a valid Class B CDL and the ability to work overtime and in on-call rotations.

Responsibilities include assisting skilled trades, operating various equipment, performing valve/pipeline work, and supporting building and grounds maintenance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License.
• Subject to MWRA Drug & Alcohol Testing Policy.
• Essential position during emergencies/inclement weather.
• This position qualifies for a sign-on bonus.

Responsibilities

• Perform tasks with equipment like trucks, pumps, tractors, mowers, and generators.
• Assist skilled trades in construction, maintenance and repair work.
• Support valve and pipeline work, digging, caulking, and repairs under pressure.
• Operate and maintain various vehicles and equipment.
• Assist in building and grounds maintenance and cleaning of MWRA facilities.
• Help in stock handling and transport of materials.
