Applicants must possess a minimum Grade 12/GED, valid Class 5 driver’s license, and be willing to acquire any necessary certification. Willingness to learn and become part of the water treatment plant personnel is essential.

Responsibilities include:

1. Operating street cleaning equipment such as street sweepers or other vehicles equipped with rotating brushes to remove sand, litter, and trash.
2. Operating snow plows or trucks fitted with plow blades to remove snow from streets, highways, parking lots, and similar areas.
3. Operating sewer maintenance equipment such as sewer jet cleaners to maintain and repair sewer systems.
4. Operating trucks equipped with apparatuses for spreading sand, salt, or abrasives on roadways.
5. Operating chainsaws and other clearing equipment to fell trees and cut back vegetation.
6. Operating riding mowers to maintain Town-owned property and private custom work.
7. Checking, lubricating, refueling, cleaning equipment, and reporting malfunctions to the supervisor.
