The Town of Marana is seeking a Maintenance Associate II to work in the Traffic Division of the Public Works Department. This is a full-time position and an exciting opportunity for someone interested in working in a fast-paced environment, performing manual labor tasks in a wide variety of maintenance and construction work. Expected Hiring Range: $20.08 - $24.59 hourly

• Placement within the expected hiring range is dependent on direct experience, internal equity and/or budget.

Salary Range: $20.08- $29.11 hourly

• Performs routine standardized-skilled maintenance of traffic control signage and pavement markings, and/or landscaping tasks; uses a variety of hand and power tools; inspects, cleans and performs routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment; identifies and reports mechanical problems.
• Provides service to internal and external customers.
• Performs work duties and operates a variety of trucks and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
• Utilizes asset software management software to track work orders and supplies.
• Performs work duties and operates a variety of trucks and equipment in accordance with all safety regulations and procedures.
• Utilizes asset software management software to track work orders and supplies.

• High school diploma or GED equivalency.
• Over one (1) year of traffic control experience, or street construction/maintenance experience, or closely related field.
• Valid Arizona Driver License.
• Obtain temporary traffic control certification within one year of hire.

An equivalent combination of education and relevant experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills & abilities to successfully perform essential functions may be considered.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• Must complete a pre-employment physical including audiogram and pass a 50-pound lift test.
• Complete both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience in temporary traffic control.
