Job summary

Morongo Band of Mission Indians is seeking a Public Works Manager to oversee operations, services and activities of the Public Works department. You will coordinate personnel, resources and communications to meet tribal needs, while supervising staff and ensuring project success.

Qualified candidates will have a degree in construction management or related field, with significant public works experience and a supervisory background. California licensure requirements apply; CDL may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration or related field.
• Five years increasingly responsible public works or similar project management experience.
• Two years supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, control and manage Public Works operations, services and activities.
• Coordinate and manage personnel, resources, projects and communications.
• Supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.
• Inspect projects for accuracy, completeness and contract compliance.
• Prepare comprehensive narrative and statistical reports.

Education

Bachelor's degree in construction management, business administration or related field

Five years experience in public works / project management

Two years supervisory experience
