Job summary

The City of Somerville is seeking a physically capable Maintenance Worker to perform a range of manual tasks and operate small power tools under the direction of supervisors.

Candidate must have a valid Class D Massachusetts driver’s license, a safe driving record, and be able to pass a practical test. Computer literacy or willingness to train on technology is required. Duties include outdoor maintenance in varying weather and environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual duties such as digging holes and loading materials.

• Ensure safety and follow instructions from supervisors.
• Complete reports as directed by supervisors.
