Job description

The City of Ashville Public Works Department is currently accepting applications for a Public Works Laborer. This is a general labor position that works with potable water, wastewater maintenance, street maintenance, park maintenance, and general maintenance. The employee will perform various tasks, which include cleaning and maintaining facilities, mowing grass, street maintenance and upkeep, reading water meters, and repairing or replacing broken pipes, pumps, belts, etc. The incumbent works under the supervision of the Public Works Supervisor.
